Yuexin is a fourth-year PhD student in ECE department. Her research interests broadly lie in optimization and control, with applications in power system. Before starting at UC San Diego, she completed her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China.

Jie Feng (2021/09-), UC-National Lab Graduate Fellow

Jie is a fourth-year PhD student PhD student in ECE department. Jie is currently working on stability constrained reinforcement learning for voltage and frequency control problems in power systems. Before UCSD, Jie obtained bachelor in Automation Engineering from the Chu Kochen Honor College, Zhejiang University.

Luke Bhan (2022/09-), DOE CSGF Fellow

Luke is a third-year PhD student in ECE department. He is currently working on machine learning and control of dynamical systems, especially for systems governed by partial differential equations (PDEs). Before UCSD, Luke got his bachelors in Physics, Applied Math, and BS/MS in Computer Science, all from Vanderbilt University.

Daniela Rojas (2024/09-)

Daniela is a first-year Fulbright Ph.D. student in the ECE department, focusing her research on applying machine learning to minimize carbon emissions. She is passionate about generative AI, renewable energies, and public policy. Prior to joining UC San Diego, Daniela worked as a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services. She holds both undergraduate and master's degrees from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.

Yufan Zhang (2023/01-)

Yufan is currently a postdoc researcher at UCSD. Her research interests include demand response, energy forecasting, and decision-making under uncertainty. Currently, Yufan works on value-oriented forecasting, that integrates forecasting and decision making in power and energy systems. Before UCSD, Yufan her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2022.
